Mini-Split System Maintenance

Some people wonder what is involved in maintaining a mini split ac system. The answer is pretty simple because in mini split systems installed in Sunrise Florida run primarily in cooling mode only. Rarely do they run in heating mode. Therefore the maintenance needed is cooling related. Some of the tasks that should be done when performing the maintenance on a mini-split system in Fort Lauderdale or anywhere in South Florida is:

  • Blow out the drain line
  • Check the refrigerant pressure
  • Check the compressor amps
  • Remove and clean the washable air filters which are located under the front plate on the air handler.
  • Check condenser fan amps
  • Clean condenser coil
  • Treat evaporator with rinse free coil clean.

These minimum requirements should be performed twice per year. Your mini split system installed in Miami or any other city down this way runs hard and needs to be maintained in order to ensure it lasts a long time and runs efficiently.

Solar Bear Services is a professional service company fully capable of installing any mini-split system. We have installed many types of systems which include Fujitsu and Mitsubishi.
